Odor di Femina

This show is titled "Odor di Femina" as a speculation that odors and liquids are the province of women. Stuff was piled into jars at random, then meaning is the product of the viewers' interpretations, where the bowls tend to be understood as tiny theme parks—but not constructed by me. Each bowl is etched with a floral pattern of the type found on old pillowcases, so the surface of the bowl sublimates its contents behind embroidery-type patterns, with a tracing of my face flattened against the glass. The "head in the jar" becomes the head-as-a-jar. . .
